Shortly after launch, Saab will add a 1.6-litre gasoline turbo with 180 horsepower together with a 2.0-litre BioPower E85 four-cylinder unit. All engines are linked to 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Audi S5 Sportback

Launched at the recent Frankfurt IAA, the Audi S5 Sportback is powered by a three-liter V6 with a mechanically driven supercharger.

The S5 Sportback sprints from zero to 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds (provisional figure) and accelerates up to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h. It comes standard with the seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

2010 Hyundai Sonata

To be offered with a 2.0L engine, pumping 165 PS at 6,200rpm and a peak torque of 198Nm at 4,600rpm. The engine will be mated to a newly 6 speed automatic transmission.

Although only one engine option has been unveiled now, Hyundai says a 2.4 liter version with direct injection will be unveiled in January next year when it presents the US market version.
